Welcome aboard! Meet the Kiwiana Team
Kiwiana Tours is owned and operated by New Zealanders Dave Ovenden. Dave has a number of years of experience in guiding NZ tours and is passionate about the outdoors, tramping, and skiing. Catherine is well-traveled, has tourism marketing experience, and has hosted international travelers from all over the world for the past 17 years. All of our tours are guided by people who are passionate about NZ.
All the team have been first aid certified and understand the needs of the international traveler. We are on hand to provide sightseeing and commentary on things of interest and generally help you discover New Zealand. You are free to ask your guide as much or as little as you like on your Kiwiana tour.
Kiwiana Tours the company and team are guided by the three core Māori values of Whanaungatanga (relationships and feeling a sense of belonging), Kaitiakitanga (guardianship and the connection between people and the natural world) and Manaakitanga (hospitality and the act of caring for a person’s mana).
